I was only 10 big blinds by then and didnt really think I had much of a choice. There were 80 people left 40 cash and the big(ger) money is top few. I didnt want to go out getting blinded to death

Hand 1

I see nothing wrong with your play on that hand. You reraised with the best hand and got him to call. Possible flush and str8 on the flop, you have to bet the pot. You do not want him to draw for free.

Hand 2

I disagree with you here. I would just call with two limpers already in the pot and go for no set, no bet. If I was going to use your thinking of being concerned of being less than 10 X BB, I would have pushed pre-flop and not made the baby raise.

first hand was fine. maybe that guy will be less inclined to go after your blinds later in the game. you can consider check-raising the flop. ps i hate seeing JT on the flop when i have aces. it makes me want to vomit.

the call out of the small blind with two limpers and a raise indicates more than a little strength. he just has to have a big pair here, in my opinion. i actually am shocked that it was as low as queens, since i can't imagine making that play with less than kings. i probably would have lost all my chips as well, pushing PF.

First hand was fine. Nothing wrong with taking the pot right there with a club draw and str8 draw on the board.

The 2nd hand you probably should have pushed preflop which in this case wouldn't have mattered anyway. Nothing wrong though with picking up the blinds when ur at only 10x BB. If you know you're going to push any flop you may as well get them in preflop and make them make a tough decision when you have a lot of folding equity.

hypothetically, what are you doing with the nines after you limp in and SB raises?

first hand you played very well. no you weren't too aggressive. i actually am relieved when my opponent folds there. i would've bet more, but i think your bet was better than mine would have been, as it will get a little bit more action from hands that it beats.

2nd hand is a no-brainer push preflop.
there is absolutely no reason to limit your raise to 3xBB.

I think I might have gotten a little greedy in that hand, hoping to get a caller with crap and eek a few extra chips, probably a mistake.
I guess in theory i could have folded to a big re-raise preflop but I doubt it.
With the 3bb raise if he just called and it was a very bad flop I would have folded and just hope to get lucky with a hand soon.
