How exactly does betting work in this scheme?

say blinds are 10/20, when betting starts preflop there would be 15 in the pot. what is the maximum that UTG could put in for a raise?

15? or is his call (10) added to the pot total before the raise (ie: he could put in 10+25)?

some friends and i recently start playing this and i wasnt sure which was correct.

Thanks

All the pot limit games I have seen you first call then raise:

So if blinds are 5 / 10 then you can put in a $10 call and raise $25 for a total of $35 to go. Then next person could call $35 and raise $85 making it $120 to go, etc.

Also, many pot limit games allow an opening bet up to a certain size that is often BIGGER than the blinds. Say the blinds are 10-10, often you'll see a game where you can open for up to 50. Or 5-5 and you can open for 25.

so there isnt alot of odd amounts, most potlimit games allow the opener to bet 4 times the big blind.
