Are you seriously thinking of slowing down here? Personally I'd 3-bet the river in a heartbeat. If you lose to AA then so be it.

thats exactly my point. by not 3-betting the river, i gave away $2, or at least a large portion thereof, since this guy was not gonna fold, and could cap it.

Not only would I 3-bet the river, I'd 5 and 7 bet it as well.
