Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (8 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with J/images/graemlins/club.gif, J/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB calls.
Flop: (10.50 SB) 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 9/images/graemlins/spade.gif, J/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (5 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, BB folds.
I bet here? UTG+1 and MP1 will call anything for 2 or more bets preflop.
The question here is do I wait til the turn to pop them? if no scare cards come. I am haveing problemes with this concept. walk me thur it like I am a 3 year old please.

No
Not with this board. Way to scary to let people draw cheap or free. I would bet out. They will expect you to bet anyway. A check may be disastrous.

I'm not sure if I'm clear on what you're asking. You want to know if it would be better to check- and possibly give a free card to someone who is drawing to a hand that beats you?

Any thought of going for a check/raise here hoping that MP1 or MP2 bets? With 5 players in, someone surely must have gotten a piece of this board, whether it's a pair, or a T or a flush draw.
But I think I bet.

I look at it this way: You're the one with a redraw (to a boat or quads) if someone hits a straight or flush on the turn.
Of course, a straight is possible already. But I would lead the flop. Even if I'm already up against a straight, it's not so bad as I'll end up with a boat or better about a third of the time. (If I'm behind and 3 people stay in, I'm betting my draw for value. But I'm probably not behind, though it is true I could easily fall behind on the turn.)
When I see a flop like this and I have JJ, what I'm thinking is that I probably have both the best hand and the best draw.

Their is a section in SSHE about redraws and fearing them. the hand gets way better.
I am just trying to understand when I am valerable to the redraw. Is it with just one pair?

Turn: (7.25 BB) J/images/graemlins/spade.gif (4 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 folds, MP1 raises, MP2 folds, Hero 3-bets, MP1 calls.
I am actully suprised that UTG+1 folded here

A card that improves your hand on the turn can sometimes give someone else a draw to a better hand (such as a straight or flush). And, yes, I think this possibility most frequently comes up when you have one pair on the flop.
In the hand in question, if the 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif fell on the turn, you'd have a boat and would have pulled ahead of anyone who flopped a straight but would be up against a redraw (to a straight flush) if someone held, say Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif T /images/graemlins/diamond.gif.

Steve,
Fearing the redraw is the reason I often won't continue to play A/images/graemlins/heart.gif7/images/graemlins/heart.gif against multiple limpers when bet into on a 5/images/graemlins/club.gif7/images/graemlins/club.gif8/images/graemlins/spade.gif board.

You played this right. So your opponent hit his one out. A 22.5:1 shot. It happenes. After you've lit yourself on fire, realize you played this right, forget about it and play it the same way next time.
He's going to friggin kick himself if he wasn't. I doubt it otherwise he probably wouldn't have posted this, and he would have posted something about how he won the jackpot. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
