First hand at table, was watching for a couple rounds, but didn't notice anything peculiar.
I thought he might be on a steal, so I reraised him.

this is a little out of hand. i think just calling here in the BB is fine, that flop sucks for you, and unless you have a read that suggests you may be able to steal the pot away from this dude, a check/fold is in order IMO. i don't see how you can possibly call the flop raise.
