Against the hands you were up against, you were a 70% favorite to tripple up.

What's the problem here?

Heh, the problem was that I lost to a 53. Should I have raised preflop instead of limping? I'll blame this one on the guy with AA for letting the 53 see this flop.

We need more info. What position were you in?

Limping is part of the game, but a smaller raise is a better play say 2-3 times the BB.

If you were UTG or EP ... a fold is a good play. Save your chips for later.

It looks like You were under the gun and played correctly.
Reguardless of what others did such as Pizza boy limping in MP w/ AA.
This is a bad beat story.
Thats all. What can be learned from this?

Was UTG, limped hoping I'd get a free flop. I'm guessing after seeing idiot boy's aces that any raise I put out there he's immediately coming over the top. Guess theres not much that can be done about this one.

You had the right plan. You stuck tou it. The others are right, just a bad beat. I feel strongly about not limping from UTG. Any raise (to me) is the right idea, otherwise you have not changed anyone's plan, nor have you made anyone think about you.

On Page 21 of Tourn. Poker for the Adv. Player (Sklansky), he mentions the down side of slow playing.

Do not second guess yourself, it was your plan pre-bet and you stuck to it.
