I'm reading "Poker Tournament Strategies" by Sylvester Suzuki. He makes the following statement several times under "Common Mistakes", and I'm not sure I understand what he means:
"Slowplaying friends at the table. (Not only is this very bad strategy, it is also very poor poker etiquette.)"
Neither of my definitions of slowplaying (waiting a round to bet a monster or checkraising) seems like poor etiquette.
Does he mean "softplaying"?
