That was quick. I ran into Kings three times in the first half hour of the tournament. Won once with AQ to double up from 190 to 380. Made 200 with pocket tens. Then got pocket 9s in CO and open raise to 100 with 10/20 blinds. The BB, who is a big stack at the table, reraises to put me all in. He's pushed me around a few times like this, so I push hoping that, if he has a hand, it is not a larger pair. BANG!!! Pocket Kings.

Every time someone had pocket kings, I was looking at a real strong hand... QQ, AQ, 99 in BB.

VP-15/PFR-12
Super-Duper high aggression numbers (that tail-off dramatically on the river) but the sample-size is pretty small to read anything from that.

WtSD-35, W$SD-47, BB/100=0

since your river-aggression is so low as is your W$SD I suspect you missed quite a few draws or had an A on the river ruin your KK a few times in the hands that I have on you.

That's nothing compared with their Thursday freerolls that they've done. you have to play 700 hands on Monday or Tuesday to qualify for the Thursday freeroll...except there were a LOT of players who didn't know they were in a free tournament.

Usually only 3 or 4 players show-up per table.
But there was always 1 table where there was just one guy stealing the blinds from 9 no-shows.

I once saw a table in one of these where all 10 didn't show-up and they just kept passing the blinds around until the table was broken-up.

I can confirm that it is indeed possible to lose 100BB at 15/30 in 4.5 hours with this avatar. And to be down 50BB at other limits over the rest of the month. But, I'm not bitter or anything. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Part of the problem is, in transferring my BR to Empire, a big chunk of it got "diverted", so I had to drop down.

I will be happy if I can manage to undo everything except the 15/30 hit by months end.

Haven't played a MTT in a long time, but isn't the general rule that half the field is gone after the first hour? Since half the field didn't show up, they can't get knocked out yet, so we'd figure that about 1/4 of the field would get knocked out in the first hour. So far we've lost 185 out of 759 which seems to be on perfect pace.

Well anyway, I stole a few pots to sneak back over 3000 chips for the moment.

multiple limpers.
I limp with AJo on the button.

Flop is AJx, 1 diamond.

All-in against Ad7d.
Runner-runner diamonds and I'm out in 78th.

Would have had around 8.5k if not for the bad-beat.

Oh well....made a good run at it and liked how I played.
Like I was going to go very far with 2 other 2+2'ers at my table anyway.

sb -- call a late position minraise with AQo. Flop AAK, all money goes in, his AJo gets no help. 23,000 chips now

So sad, I get my money in each time with an edge and have lost... that's poker.

I push my A9o in the BB against a steal raise. Guy calls with KJo. Turn is my 9, but the river is his K and I'm out in 63rd... ugh

Good luck soah and AKZ

6k with blinds of 300/600, is this all in or fold preflop time? This is my first major tourney this far...

I had to take out AZK, he pushed against my QQ. =( I think I'm the only one left now.

4.5k left, blinds 400/800, I get 88 and push, Soah on the other side of the table says "good luck", shows me QQ. Done. If I had to give anyone my chips it would be him, so it's all good. Good luck soah...

Button raises with 84, I call in bb with AJ. Flop AKQ. Button makes runner-runner two pair. I guess it serves me right for being so passive. =(

Opened with A9 from LP, reraised all in. I called getting 5:1. He had AT and my T flopped. Up to 20k, about average.

Managed to work my way back from 22k up to 30k without even seeing a flop.

29616 going into the break. 27 players left, average stack 28111.

Doubled with AA. Reraised an MP opener preflop, he called. Flop is Axx all diamonds, he pushes I call. He has JJ with the J of diamonds and no diamonds come. I'm around 55k now, average 35k.

19 left and I'm chip leader. I won a big pot off the former big stack, so the 2 2+2ers are in the lead.

My A,Q flopped top pair only to be outdone by pocket Kings that flat called my raise. Luckily I had her covered so I survived and am JUST below average stack now.

Thanks for the sweat everyone! I felt like I played pretty well and got lucky a lot and I was really glad I stop by the MTT forum every once in a while. I'm looking forward to my first vegas trip.
