Since I posted the trade I have added considerably to my position.i have made a living trading options on futures for over 20 years, both as a floor trader(3 different exchanges)and from home the last 12 years.I have spent months studying the fundamentals. If you look at my earlier post I said CPN would only earn 1.20

this year.Well guess what. The merrill lynch private client group just released the number they came up with and it is 1.20-1.30.

This is a boring no brainer trade, that is why I like it.I took all the money i had in CD's etc and placed it in this trade.

It has been a long time but i can recommend

Options as a Stategic Investment.Very dull but a good primer.Don't get caught up in the "greeks"

once you start trading.Strategy and common sense rule.

getting interesting again...hmmmm..it's so volatile you don't need options...wonder if there is any chance there is extreme dirty laundry in their accounting and/or trading and/or management....??gl

They released their numbers today.Beat the quarter

and reduced guidance considerably for the year.

There was no surprise about the reduction just the amount.I expect to see some downgrades today

and will be looking for option plays.I reduced my

fair value of this stock from 14+ to 8+ .Both of these estimates are my own and considerably below

the streets.Perhaps when we see downgrades today

my numbers will be more in line.

Short sellers are generally informed investors. Academic studies have shown that short interest is generally inversely correlated with stock performance.
