NLHE tourney started with 93 players down to 4 tables. Blinds are 700 700, I am in the cut off with an above average 20K. A good player with about 6K goes all in in middle position - this is the first hand he has played in a while, fold to me, I have JJ. The button just has me covered and the second blind is probably the chip leader.

What would you do?

I would pass. You do not need to get mixed up in this hand. He does not look like he is blind stealing from his position especially if one of the blinds is the chip leader. So you are probably up against a bigger pair or AK.

Just my opinion

I agree. He risked his whole stack. He may have an underpair, but you are in a position to wait for a better opportunity to grow your chips. If he is a good player, you are playing a coinflip hand with two overcards or worse here.

I would fold every time. You are a small favorite at best, if the all-in player is as you described.

Thanks for the back-up guys - I did fold and he mucked without being called. I thought this was definitely a 50/50 proposition a best.

With JJ? Have to call.
