guy in 1 seat had over 5K chips in first round.
He kept comming over the top w/ ubsurd raises 10X bb or last bet.
Made me dump several pocket pairs.
Waited til I got AA limped 20, two callers, he pops it to 200.
I jam it to 1200 all fold except villan.
Flop comes A 10 6 rainbow. Jackpot!! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
I bet a modest 600 so not to lose my man. He calls.
Turn brings a Q. Push now and villan calls.
River rag.
Result Hero (PGA71) 3 Aces, villan AJ off for pair of aces.
Sweet double thru. Nice when they hold up!!

1st break at 5175 w/ ave 3145.

Not much to report a few sparrings, one nice semi bluff w/nut flush and two over cards, and 1 pure bluff w/ KQo for a 1.2K steal.
Need some cards next level or could fall below average.

5,300 at 2nd break. avereage is $4,957.
118 left and 13 seats awarded to WPT in Bahamas.

Big hand in third level came w/ hero holding QQ.
Pushed on button and had two callers 1 all in about 1k and the other villain w/ Aks had my 5K covered.

Flopped a set but villain turned str8draw.
Holding my breath rag came once again letting best hand win.

Few more pots, won uncontested, think I overplayed KK on the button with 4 limpers of 200, I raised to 2K. All folded, took down 1K w/o seeing flop.
Do you guys think I should have raised less perhaps 1K? I have the table covered.

Noticed fellow 2 plus 2 member ZeeJustin is in. Good Luck to you.

Status:

19460 at break. Ave stack is 8731.
67 players remaining, and 13 go. Currently in 7th.

One more level like the last would be great!

Thanks Drdre,

Level started out great w/ following hand:

Flopped set w/ 44 from sb w 4 A Q board.
Led out small, got raised, and I reraised.
Put him all in on the turn and he showed two pair AQ and was done. (picked up his 6K)

Killer hand lost to four nines.
Luckily I had him covered. Lost 9K on that hand down to 17K. Ouch!

Went card dead, and some1 was always beating me into the pot w/ a raise.

Good Luck.... I have been watching this tourney a little bit. I think you were the one that knocked out Josh Arieh, but not sure.

Good luck...if you get another 15-20K I think you can shut down the rest of the way. (Maybe a little more due to the antes.)

Way to go so far /images/graemlins/smile.gif

The river was an absolute killer bet!

Great read, great play on all streets. Flat calling that way, then the "weak big bet" on the river really sucked him in. LOL

Someone is going to have a killer New Years trip.

Doubled up mid way w/ KK against AJ.
Reraised him pre flop. He calls and flop is rags.
Villain leads out, and I raise all in. He shows AJ, and best hand holds up when no Ace hits. J

Biggest pot of the tourney raise in CO w/ 66.
BB calls. And flop is a dream 6 A K rainbow.
He leads out 1,600. I call. Turn is rag 3. Still rainbow.
He bets again, I call w/ my set.
River blank. He checks and I bet 5.6K about half my stack.
He puts me all in. I call and he shows A2 which cripples him to 7K.
I am now chip leader J.

No you don't. You've 52K and the average is 28K with 21 left. With 14 people left, the average stack will be 42K with half of them way under that.

Seriously, I would be folding AA right now. Even with blinds that high and play that tight you can slide in.

...and now you can *really* just slide in.
