Seems really stupid to me

You don't know anything about his hand except that his increasing bet size is probably a sign of strength.

I prefer betting the flop, checkraising the flop, or folding the flop to what you did. I also prefer betting or folding on the turn so I guess I hate every possible thing about this hand.

Anyway, I'd fold.

I forgot to mention in my post that the button checked the "bet pot" button. This in my mind ruled out two pair and my read was for a weaker ace - thus the CR all in. Thoughts?

Usually, when they do that, they actually *do* have 2 pair (specifically, A6).

YMMV and I hope you snapped off a bluff, but you're not ahead of much and the caller on the flop should make you hate your hand even more. There's a really good chance you've the third best hand and a really good chance you're getting called so if you go the check route on the flop I would just fold when it gets back.

I'm certainly folding to another pot sized bet on the turn.

After I moved in the CO called and the button insta-folded. Co had JT of spades for the pair+flushdraw on the flop and two pair on the turn.

Thanks for the replies. I "wanted" to be called by the button with a weaker ace, just too bad that one of the 6 cards in the deck this move fails against came out.
