View Full Version : Card Room Rule Book

08-22-2001, 11:23 AM
We have a small home game that has been going about a year. A few of the players are familiar with standard casino card room rules for handling disputes, but most of the group do not know. I would like for everyone to be aware of the rules, and have a reference to fall back on.

Does anyone know where I can get a poker rule book that describes the rules that are normally followed in poker rooms (excluding minor differences)?

Thanks in advance

Many cardrooms have a small booklet that has the rules for the games they offer, and you can usually ask any floor employee for one.

If you go Mike Caro's www.planetpoker.com and then to the link to MCU you can find a recent draft of "The Offical Rules of Poker" (I think that is the title). Last time I check there wasn't any specific publication date mentioned. I'm not sure if you can print this out. But that's OK. You just have a laptop nearby which is logged on so you can check the rules right away <g>.

Another route to go is for one of the group to type up a set of basic house rules for your particular games, which are aggreeable to everyone.
