View Full Version : Too Agressive on Bubble?

PP SNG $10+1 Blinds 100/200 (4 handed)

Hero (~1000)
BB (~1800)
UTG (~1700)
Button (~3500)

UTG, who has been raising often, pauses a bit, and miniraises to 400. Folded to me with 55. I push, knowing full well its probably a coinflip.

My question is this: On the bubble, as the small stack, should I always be willing to put myself in coinflip situations when I know I have no folding equity?

I think you should stop and go here because you're in the SB for 1/10th your stack and the bet is between 30-50% of your stack. Push on any flop, though.

a fold is certaintly weak here, I would push or even better, stop and go.

He minraises, when normally he puts in a bigger raise? Smells like a trap.

Why is it probably a coinflip? I think the min raiser will fold hands like 44-22, will call with pairs above 66, and may call or fold over cards (depending on whether it is an AK or an Q10 suited type hand). I don't think pushing is smart, as he will most certainly only call with a coinflip or better hand. You should only push if you think you have good folding equity... which it doesnt seem like you have. Your description of the player makes him out to be a LAG, meaning if he raised with a hand that is a non bluff, he will probably committ with it.
