Hi, I am planning on playing in the first event at the Golden Gate Classic tomorrow in San Pablo tomorrow and have always had a much more difficult time in limit tournies than in no limit ones and was wondering why type of strategy should I employ? I think you get 500 in chips to begin, 500 for the rebuy, and 1000 for the add-on.
I usually try to play tight, but the blinds start to get high and then it's 3 or 4 hands that are going to build your stack or collapse it. I called them and found out the rounds are only going to be 20 minutes, so should I loosen up early and try to build a stack before the add-on, because I'm sure than 1000 in chips at that point won't be much relative to the blinds.
