Well first off thank you for everyone who answered my no talk at the table question...but now heres an even more important question.

I was playing an 11 man tourny..1 table of 5 and one table of 6. i went all in after the river..i dont even remember what i had but it was good. i told the person to my right he had to show first since i was last to call.(in a heads up) he said no..and then said do you have anything? i showed him my cards and he mucked his cards in front of him. then i took my chips and he says..o wait..i have a straight. he did that to be an @$$. i gave him my chips since none of us knew what to do, but i really feel like if someone does that it is considered a fold or something. please help. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

You called so he has to show.

Once you muck your cards, you lose the hand.

In a casino or cardroom once your cards hit the muck pile they are dead, but if you simply toss your hands infront of you but realize you do have the winning hand, your hand is still live. I recall an instance at the WSOP of a player thinking he lost, and his masseus (sp?) informed him he had a hand worth half the pot. Its a technicality but you can specify the rule in your own game, and slow rolling is always looked down upon and a real A##H### move.

Hiya -

Do these people also play in the game you described earlier? If so, unless I was a winning player in this group, I'd find another. This was clearly wrong...mucking the hand is submitting that the player is beat. Turning the hand over to be a jerk is a dishonorable thing to do. It wouldn't happen in my home game.
