I was wondering if anyone tried use the Neteller ATM card to purchase stuff at the grocery store or the mall, etc.

Does a regular Bank ATM card charge fees for purchasing at the store?

What about the Neteller ATM card?

thanks

what we really freaking need is a mc/visa logo debit card from them.

Well, it's a debit charge, so it should work fine at any place that accepts debit cards. It's unlikely that Neteller or the merchant will add any additional charges to the transaction, as those are typically absorbed by the merchant for any debit transaction.

I'm in Australia and it works for me at say the Grocery store. Dont know if you'd want to though, I think you pay $4 USD per transaction (international). Rather just load up the debit card and transfer it out via ATM

I just got one. haven't tried it yet. here's what it says:

NETeller Debit Cards Logout
Debit Card Fees
Listed below is the current NETeller Debit Card fee schedule. These fees are subject to change without notice.

Usage Type USA Canada International
Currency USD $ CAD $ CAD $
Activation Fee FREE FREE FREE
Deposit To NETeller FREE N/A N/A
Withdrawal From
NETeller $2.00 USD $2.00 USD $2.00 USD
ATM Cash Advance $1.50 $2.50 $2.93
Point of Sale (POS) $0.75 $1.75 $2.25
Declined ATM/POS $1.00 $0.50 $3.83
Balance Inquiry $1.00 $2.13 $2.13
Statement of Account $1.50 $1.50 $1.50
Dormant Card Charge $5.00* $2.00** $2.00**

I believe it's $2.00 to put money on the card, per transaction, which can be up to $1,000. Then it is $1.50 to take it out from an ATM, PLUS a fee from whatever bank's ATM you use (presumably). Or if you use it for a purchase it looks like $0.75 and should be no extra fee.

One thing I never noticed before was this fee for "dormant" account. Apparently when you load the card you have to use it in 30 days. Also a fee for a declined ATM attempt.

* Debit cards that have had no activity within a 30-day period will have this fee deducted from their balance.

Fee fee fee. But if the IRS never sees, you still come out way ahead...

i signed up at epassporte to get one of these. and have been using it for over a week now. has a visa logo, and works like any other. i withdrew from party to fill it up, took standard day and halfish, i havent withdrawn from any other sites to it yet. you only need a credit card to create an account there. check it out, i am happy with it. i requested my limits raised too, i can get 600 from the atm, and 1000 on transactions.

epassporte is a party option?

i did not know that. if i were a party player i would be using epassporte over any of the web wallets. i wish paradise offered it.

There's also a 10% one time bonus for using ePassport with Party, code EPASS. 5x play through, 30 days to clear.
