My reasoning for betting the flop the way I did was that I figured I might get someone with a lesser flush to fold without the Ah, which I was holding. Of course, it didn't work and I called the turn just because there was so much money in the pot.

Was my bet on the flop a bad one, and how could I have played the rest of the hand?

The preflop reraise is bad, not because you don't want to get the money in now, but because you've given away your hand and there is plenty of money left to bet.

The flop bet is fine, you'd prefer to put it all in right there if you could. However when he calls your bet and leads into you on the turn, you are beat and have no outs, save your last $5.

Nice try on the flop, definitely fold the turn to save $5.

I agree with everything previous about the preflop play being bad, but i dont see how youre folding on the turn for $5. Youre getting 9-1, slightly less if u discount the rake.

I called the turn just because there was so much money in the pot.

this is faulty reasoning. you are in a situation where your opponent cannot possibly be bluffing, and you almost certainly have no outs. save your money and get out.

sorry missed the single suited flop. yeah, youre most likely drawing dead.
