Down to 2 players. We are at 1000-2000 blinds. I have 24800 and opponent has 25200. I am in SB.

I am dealt QQ (red).

I raise to 7000. Opponent calls.

Flop is K95 2tone.

Opponent bets 2000. I raise to 8000. Opponent calls.

Turn is 5 making a flush possible.

Opponent goes all-in for 10200. I have 9800 left. What is my play?

Anything else you would do different?

I fold the hand with the overcard and the possible flush draw out there. I might have elected for a smaller re-raise if I were to make one on the flop, and muck it on the turn. You can't fall in love with your hand. If he called your preflop raise, he easily could've called with a big A or K, and possibly with a PP, hitting his set on the flop or the turn. How did it turn out? I'd be interested to hear the rest of the hand.

I felt there were too many ways to lose. He could have a K, a 5, a flush or even 99.

I folded.

He showed 22 (also red) for the cold stone bluff.

Oh well, I can't complain since I was all-in with 400 in the BB with the blinds 250-500 and I flopped trips and then tripled up the next hand with TT.

When he bets 2000, either fold or go all-in, with going all-in being preferred. Not many people get cute like that and bet small with top pair or better. If he has a history of such cute plays, then be more inclined to fold.

Yeah that would have been a better way to play the hand. Certainly throughout the tourney he was the "action" guy. He was in the most pots.
