Ive only been playing HE for about 3 months now. I routinely take about 3BB/100 from the .5/1 tables on Prima (10000 hands). ... yeah, I know thats not a big enough sample to know anything. However, I decided to get the 20% bonus at Stars so deposited $600 and started playing it off. At the .5/1 tables, I am barely breaking even and the pots are hardly ever raked they are so small. I went up to 1/2 to try to clear the bonus faster and got crushed for about $75 in 700 hands. Now I am just trying to get the bonus cleared without losing any of MY money. Is there any particular time of day or week when the games at Stars get a little better that 2 or 3 players seeing the flop?

I think you just found a tight table or two. I've been playing .50/1 limit at Stars and I'm seeing plenty of raked pots. You're not playing 6-handed, are you?

nope ... full ring.

Have played 1400 or so hands in the last week and have manage to accumulate 412 FPP's. Nobody stays in. There are usually at most 4 players (but more like 2 or 3) to the flop. One of them bets ... the other 2 fold. This seems to happen 70% of the time. I did notice in my stats that my winrate on the .5/1 tables is about the same as it is on Prima. Guess i'll just have to hang out there long enough to clear the bonus. If anyone knows anything about times of day or times of week when it softens up, I'd appreciate the info.

412 FPPs seems pretty good for 1400 hands.

Keep in mind that to earn an FPP at Stars, the rake has to hit 50 cents.

As for Stars bonuses, I've got 2 sitting around, waiting for the day I begin my shorthand career at $.5/1 (or whatever...). I'll have tons of time to clear them then. That's the great thing about Stars bonuses, they're stackable and they don't expire.

I was thinking the same thing.

I'd keep plugging away. Thursday and Friday nights, and especially the weekend nights, it gets a little looser.
