nah this is a legit question because it happens all the time, where a scary card flops or turns, but you dont' really find out about it until the river.

the problems with facing this raise on the river rather than on the flop or turn on scary boards is that the pot is bigger by now so you're more inclined to call down for one extra bet, which unfortunately i think hero in this hand has to do.
