I have about a billion MP3s on my computer that I usually cycle through randomly, but I think I discovered tonight that I really like classical to play while I'm grinding. Makes it seem more dramatic than it actually is.

I listen to the trip-hop station on Yahoo! radio oddly enough. I don't know why.

Seeing as 80% of all music I listen to is hip-hop, I would have to say...hip-hop.

Ok, I think of myself as being a fan of a variety of musical genres, but I have no classical in my collection.

Someone suggest for me a few CDs/pieces/composers that you like.

well, i'm out of town using my laptop away from my collection. Usually when i'm playing I listen to mozart and stravinsky. i also like chopin, rosinni, tchaikovsky, strauss, dukas.

i have 'classical masters' on my desktop at home, it's a CD of around 10 different outstanding compsers. heh, i went through the whole thing the day i qualified for the PPM Final

Personally, I listen to alot of DMB when I am playing! Of course when I take some bad beats it switches over to metal!

Pick up some of the old Ludwig Van, if you know what I mean.

Insane Clown Posse all the way.

They are also great before going to a party or any other place with women.

Ok, first, I'd slide up to the bar
And tell you that I can't believe how [censored] fat you are!
I'd tell ya that I like the way you make your titties shake,
And if you lost a little weight you'd look like Rikki Lake.

or

Let's see, hmm, well I'd have to think about it
I might show up in a tux, ha! But I doubt it.
I'd probably just show up naked like I always do
And look your mama in the eye and tell her [censored] you!
Hurry up bitch I'm hungry, I smell spaghetti,
I'd pinch her limpy ass and tell her get the food ready!
Your dad would probably start trippin and get me pissed
I'd have to walk up and bust him in his [censored] lips!
It's dinner time, we're hearin grace from your mother
I pull a 40 out and pour some for your little brother
I'm standing staring at your sister, I'll tell you this
You know for only 13 she got some big tits!
After that, your dad would try to jump again
And only this time I'd put the 40 to his chin!
After your mom does the dishes and the silverwear,
I'd dry [censored] her till I nut in my underwear!!!!

I prefer eighties music because that was a great time for me and just keeps me upbeat (and now that I get digital cable for free as part of a phone/cable/internet package, I have a digital music eighties channel! woohoo! Ok, getting excited about that probably belies my lack of a life...). Of the choices offered, it is a toss up between classical and jazz.

Yeah, I should have added '80s, Funk, Hard Rock, Techno, and about a billion others.

The 4 Seasons (Vivaldi) is probably my favorite. I have This recording (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000002RNY/qid=1101322859/sr=2-3/ref=sr_2_3/102-3226670-8430523) of it, and listen to it often.

There is so much out there to explore. Here is a starting list of good performances in good sound.

100 CDs for Building Your Library (http://classicstoday.com/features/100cds.asp)

Hope this helps,

Techno is very good. For example, play Clubbed to Death by Rob Dougan on repeat 1 for an hour while multitabling.

So, you'll probably hear the entire song at least two times by the time the hour is up, if my math is correct.

Just kidding, man. I like that song. It reminds me of the trailers for The Matrix.
