I have decided to use the rest of the year to transition from No Limit to Limit.

I've put in just over 2k hands so far and here are the numbers. Thoughts?

BB/100 0.77

Went to SD 24.32
Won $ @ SD 69.01

Raise PF 3.32

Specific Hands of Note

AA times 5, win %60, BB/Hand 0.60

AJs times 8, win%25, BB/hand (1.13) VPIP 87.50, PFR% 12.50 CCPF 0.

Axs (T-2) times 69, win% 4.35, BB/hand (0.09) VPIP 14.49 PFR% 0

PP (88-22) times 59, win% 10.17, BB/hand (0.2 VPIP 55.93, PFR 5.08 CCPF 0.

Suited Connectors (QJ-87) times 40, win% 12.50, BB/hand 0.11, VPIP 12.50, PFR 7.50, CCPF 0.

aside from the fact that 2000 hands is nothing and won't tell you she-ite?

aside from the fact that was an uber-tight 2000 hands (likely to your detriment)?

yeah... this is in the wrong forum :-)

Which forum would be the correct one? It's from 2/4 play which I assumed was SS.

If I am posting about PokerTracker, why not post it in Books and Software (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=books) or on the official Poker Tracker (http://www.pokertracker.com/forum/) forums?

check out the posting suggestions at the top of the page...

i don't think all poker tracker involved questions don't belong here... and they may in fact be very well received later on...

but you really need to amass a good number more hands (think 15,000+) before these stats have much meaning to you...

however, as i said, that was VERY tight play from you... you likely need to loosen up a little

Nothing wrong with posting it in this forum.

Dude, you're a rock. What do you basically call and raise with preflop?

He's not posting about PokerTracker, he's posting about his basic play. He's using PT stats to describe his play. It's in the right forum.

2k hands isn't anywhere near enough to come to any conclusions about specific hands, but it tells us enough about basic preflop calling and raising standards.

This is one case where the small sample doesn't matter... we can tell enough to give you some advice on improving.

Raise more preflop and play more hands. Shoot for something in the range of 15-18% VP$IP, and PFR of 7-12%. That'll get you closer to fine.

Do a search of this forum and the microlimit forums for stat checkups. You will find a TON of good info on what your stats should look like.

Other than those two glaring problems, there's not much else to be said about 2k worth of hands.

Good luck at limit.

Yeah that has always been my problem and was what I wanted to get thoughts on this early (2khands). It suited NL play but Im worried about my limit play.

I raise based on position

EP aa-qq, AK

MP aa-JJ AK, AQ open raise tt-99, Aq

LP aa-99 depending on field size, and open raise down to 77, and QJs, Aj,

I dont really call raises

Should I be playing PP's (88-22) before two limpers.

EP - add AQ, AJ, KQ, KJs, JJ, TT, 99

MP - add open-raise with 88, ATs

LP - add open-raise with AT, KJ, KTs, if the blinds are tight add KT, QT, A9

You can call raises with suited high broadway cards if the pot is multiway.

Low pps depends on game conditions, if it's loose passive you can call with any pp in any position. But usually, stick to 77 and up from E/MP. With 66-22 you might want to fold these in all positions unless there's already 4 people in (until you get more comfortable with limit poker).

Thanks,

With raising between 7 - 12%, does this mean I should be raising more for value or building a bigger pot. For example TT from LP with a bunch of callers.

Raise for both reasons.
