I wonder if A/images/graemlins/heart.gif on the river would have been more thrilling. Probably not, but the results would have been better. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

FWIW, I was at a bad beat table a while back and the table actually hit the bad beat. Unfortunately, the dude that hit the four of a kind was trying so hard to keep other people in the pot that he smoothcalled every street instead of raising. Long story short, not enough in the pot for it to be a raked hand ... thus no jackpot for us. The slowplay only cost him $75K. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was _not_ at a bad beat table and saw four jacks lose to a Royal.

I was at a regular 2/4 table. I had pocket KK. Flop was KKQ. River was a Q. Capped the whole way down. Opponent had QQ.

I was at a bad beat table two weeks ago. I had 9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif. Flop was Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif 10 /images/graemlins/spade.gif rag. The villian in this hand had A /images/graemlins/spade.gif K /images/graemlins/spade.gif

So I had two chances for the J /images/graemlins/spade.gif to come and give me $40k. But it didn't. Not like it matters, but the turn and river were both spades.

i had to pull out money for various things, including a new computer and monitor, and then split the bankroll so i could 8-table. With the limited roll, and increased variance from begining-8-tabling, i thought it best to go to 2-4. Althouhg after i get my rake back from this month, i should be back at 3-6, even with my massive slide this month...
