Omaha

I've recently started playing O h/l and O high in ring games and have found the competition to be very weak and the game is easier to beat than my local Hold em games. My question: is the competition easier/less skilled in Omaha tournaments as compared to Holdem. And I'm referring to mid major tournaments like the Reno Fall Classic, etc...
