Small AC Tournaments (Trop)

Anyone ever play in any of the small tournaments at the Trop in AC? I'm going to AC on Thursday the 20th and got a cheap room at Trop (I usually play at Taj) so I think I will check out the $25 tournament before heading to my 5-10 Taj game. How is the competition/payout structure? Do they give you your money's worth? What about the $110 Friday event? When should I show up if it starts at 7:30?

The low cost tournaments are fun and not very competitive. That does not mean they are easy to win. It's "shoot from the hip--loose early, tight late" style games. Usually about 80 people paying 8 places or less. Top prize is $500.


The Friday games are more competitive with about the same number or less players but better payouts.

Show up 10-15 minutes before the start. Times have changed, so check with the Trop for times.

Thanks for the info. Do you guys know if the Trop is spreading the pink game (7.5-15) every night now or just on weekends? Is there no 10-20 now? How is the action? I'll be staying there on the 20th so if either of you are around, it would be great to meet you guys...let me know.

I'll stop by on the 20th. Probably play in the mini tourney too. I've been playing exclusively at the Taj lately. Really great action in the 20/40 stud games. I've been killing it. I'm sure the Trop still has 10/20, as to the pink game, I don't know. Email me before the 20th and we'll hook up.
