i just got back from vegas. stayed at the palms and their small poker room had a $4/$8 limit hold'em table so i thought i would play a few hands of poker. this game was a half-kill ($6/$12) with a $1/$2 blind structure. personally, i have never seen a blind structure that was half of the norm and i got to thinking: "how does having a smaller blind structure change the game?". please keep in mind that preflop the normal raise is still $4, so a raise would be a bet of $6 ($2 to call and $4 to raise).
i think that this blind structure would loosen up the table considerably, so i raised a lot more with weaker hands in position. i also decided to take advantage of the cheap flop cost and limped quite often myself.
i would really like to know what you guys and gals think about how the cheaper blind costs change the game.
thanks,
fuji
