Was up to 1200 early, but dwindled down to 625 after getting moved to a table with three stacks bigger than 3k. Got 88, 44, 66, and 55 at this new table, none of which hit sets, all of which had overs on the flop with people betting. Ugly start.

Ok, I'm out now. Flopped an A out of the BB, turn is another A, moved in figuring A3s was good. UTG+1 had AK.

Good luck folks. What a brutal 45 minutes.

J.

Thats the problem when you're playing too many tourneys, chating with your wife, watching TV and reading the 2+2 forum. All at the same time.

I would LOVE to have 1175. I'm at 755, still on Table 50. First hand I played (from SB) I flopped 2 pair. Check-raised on the flop and got called by 4 people! Two clubs and a straight draw on the board. Turn was a K making a possible AQ or Q9 straight. Didn't think anyone had AQ. Somebody did have Q9. That took me down to 140 and I managed to win with K7 and then a nice pot (for my stack) with AA.

Chief, I liked your play. Very aggressive and made a lot of sense. Exactly how I would have played it for whatever that's worth. His 100 bet on the flop seemed very weak given the flush draw.

woodguy
11-22-2004, 11:09 PM
out to the most rotten beat I've suffered in a while.

Idiot button has minraised my BB 4 times in a row.
I am determined to call and bet the pot no matter what.

I call and flop top two pair and bet the pot, he calls
turn puts two flush draws on board, I bet the pot agan, and he calls.

River looks blankish, so I check hoping he bluffs (i still have top two, hope he didn't flop a set and play it poorly), I check he bets all in (way over my stack), i call AND HE WENT RUNNER, RUNNER FOR A GUTSHOT STRAIGHT AND WASN'T EVEN DRAWING TO THE FLUSHES!!!

All right Nick, send the cops.

Woodguy

Really aggressive table. WOn 1 pot with a semi-bluff, and another with 2 pair. Limped UTG with Aces because some crazy all-ins had been happening. Got 4 callers and a board of QQ77. Yuck.

Won a really stupid one when I called the SB with J5s, guy made a big flop bet and I accidently clicked call. GOt checked down after that and my J was good /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now over at Table 15 - Magic Pig.

Up to T1460. UTG mini-raises with 66. I raise UTG+1 with QQ. He calls. Flop is Qxx and he puts me all in. Tough decision.

sirio11

Dont wait too long for a hand, and remember its different doing an all in than calling it

Chief911
11-22-2004, 11:28 PM
You're under 10xBB. Unless you have AA, your only move is fold or push. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

So, push with any decent hand?

Chief911

No bad beat here. Although having a good read on the limper, I'd do this every time.

Nick

BLinded down to 1000, get QQ behind a raiser. HE calls my all-in with JJ and spikes his Jon the flop.

Anyone know Annie Dukes PArty ID? I played with AnnieDeeOne for most of the tournament and he/she certainly pretended to be Annie, but also said Hi to me so I suspect it might be a 2+2'er posing.

KK ran into AA. Had 500 left at 50/100 and stole when it was folder to me with T8s and got called by KQo. That ends my night.

Table 15 - Magic Pig - T1385

Hanging in there. Had a couple of hands that I pushed with but just won the blinds. I'm still shocked I made it this far when I was down to, now that I think about it, 70 not 140 after like the 3rd hand.

Lloyd

8xBB

What hands are you pushing with from EP? I've folded 44 and 22 UTG+2 and UTG+1. Anybody push with those?

Lloyd
11-23-2004, 12:42 AM
Here's another one. Big stack UTG raises in EP. Folded to you on the button with AQo. PUsh?

sirio11
11-23-2004, 12:51 AM
No to the first question, not with 8BB, yes to the second, specially if your raise at least doubles the initial raise

Lloyd
11-23-2004, 12:54 AM
Out at 126. I made a good run considering I was down to T40. Pushed in LMP with AQ and got called with AK.

Lloyd
11-23-2004, 12:56 AM
[ QUOTE ]
No to the first question, not with 8BB, yes to the second, specially if your raise at least doubles the initial raise

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't necessarily disagree with the moves, but being able to raise double the initial rase is meaningless. The initial raiser has pot odds to call pretty much any hand so it's not like I could take the pot right there.

sirio11
11-23-2004, 01:03 AM
If you're assuming that the caller is a good player and know about pot odds, I agree with you Lloyd, but a lot of players dont even call a miniraise because they are embarrased to show their steal attempt

Lloyd
11-23-2004, 01:09 AM
True. But unless otherwise demonstrated I'm going to assume a chip leader from EP making a real (not mini) raise probably knows about pot odds and probably has a decent hand.
