I have been an online player for about 2 years now, having tried out all the sites and have had many names on both Party and Empire. They have done the thing where they freeze my accounts until I call them and tell them to cancel my old account and everything had been fine until now. A couple of days ago I won a 1500 man 30+3 multi at party which cashed in just under $9000. I cashed out the maximum $3000 the next day. The day after I went to cashout another $3000. The next time I tried to log on they froze my account and told me to call them.

I called them and they told me they put all my cashouts on hold and froze my account because about a year ago I tried to deposit money on a completely different account at empire with a 2nd firepay account that has nothing to do with any deposits or cashouts I ever made on party. In fact, they recognized this and said I couldn't deposit money on that empire account because they already had a different firepay account registered under my name. They now need me to send them proof of a statement from my 2nd firepay account to show that it is me. I have sent them about 10 emails and calling them back each time and they keep saying they have received nothing. I sent exactly the right thing to exactly the right address as an attatchment. Had anyone had a similar problem and how can I get the $11000 I had sitting in that account? If I lose this money I will be practically broke (I am a college student who needs this money to pay for next semester)

You made many different accounts and never expected a problem?

I'm assuming you made new accounts for sign up bonuses, rakeback etc.

Your probobly screwed, and rightfully so.

I made a new account on each site for rakeback just like many people have done and it has never been a problem, I just cancel the old account and they have no problem. The point is they waited until a giant cashin and brought up a completely unrelated issue on a canceled account.

Firstly - have you zipped up the attachment to get it through their spam/virus filters. Have you tried sending it from a different email address.

Secondly - they have no problems with you cancelling accounts and signing up multiple times? Are you sure?

Yes I have spoken to them many times, and are you sure about the zip thing?

I don't know why you couldn't cash-out more than $3k.

I don't know why you have had so many names on party and empire.

I don't know why party and empire wouldn't just close your account and keep your money.

It is unlikely that they are doing this because of your big score. It is more likely that they did a routine check of something or other on one of your cash-outs and found something they didn't like.

I agree. Probably you've been engaged in something fishy. Prima could have pulled a stunt like that, not Party. If there is some misunderstanding I'm sure it will turn out fine.

And how does this make Party "rigged" ?? If anything this is a good endorsement, I'm glad they are catching people opening multiple accounts. Not that you were trying to cheat, but that is a very likely scenario for them.

that was just a catchy title. Anyway, I think it is a misunderstanding because they said they can't receive emails with greater than 2MB of attatchments and the picutre is just over 5. Opening the 2nd account on each site was completely fine and in fact I did not know it was wrong when they first froze me. I told them it was a misunderstanding and they said they could delete my old accounts and had no problems. It is a completely random event to link a firepay acct that has nothing to do with these cashouts. I just hope everything works out.

Honestly, every cashout problem I ever read about on this board (theres another 1 similar a few posts down) have the disclaimer "I'm a college student"

I'm a college student myself and have whored over 20 casinos and play at just about every possible poker room and never once had a single problem.

Its just more of a whiney thing. Its not only "I want it" its more of "I need it to survive"
If you need it that bad, you shouldnt be playing poker with it

I've never had a cash-out problem either at ANY site.
I also don't open multiple-accounts on the same site.
I wonder if there is a correlation.

You can try to make your extra $100-bonuses by breaking their rules.....but there IS a risk involved and to my mind it just isn't worth the potential hassle.

The zoo should be a paying service. Come with your problems and the Zoo will help you out.

If party really brought up an old story to keep your money it would be fishy. I don't think they care about 11K
It's like microbob says, it must be a missunderstanding or you're not telling us the whole story.
I've to admit I would freak out too if they took 11K from me.
Let us know how it turns out. Give them a call and fax them all the documents they need.

I finally got through to them where they said the problem is that the 2nd firepay acct is registered under my mother's name and they will re-activate my poker account but delete both of my firepay acct's so I will not be able to use them again.

With $11k on stake, how come you haven't taken your time to fax a copy of the required documents (as well as sending it by email)? I could very well think that Party suspects something fishy about this fact; a fax is harder to fake than an image file, etc.

Perhaps you should have considered not opening a fraudulent Firepay account in your mother's name without her consent?

Also why would you need to sign up multiple times to get rake back? Once you have one account with rake back, you're done.

I also second Adde's suspicioun that with 10k at stake and the ease of faxing a document, it's unlikely that you are going to use any non forged documents since you haven't already.

As I said, things worked out and I will get my money. However, I don't understand your assumption that the 2nd firepay acct is fraudulant. It actually is my mother's and when she wanted me to teach her poker, I opened up an empire acct for her. I immediatly was told by party that this wasnt allowed and told them I didn't know and that they could delete my 2 empire accounts and my 1 party account. They said this was fine and I created one final account on each. I don't understand why you all think I'm a scammer or a bonus mongeror.

An interesting way to describe libel.

If you owned a business, would you want someone posting something on your industry's top website about you that wasn't true?

Heh, You had your Mom open up the Firepay account, yet you opened the Empire account. That is funny indeed. Why didn't she open up the poker account also, since she wanted to "learn" to play poker. Well, when you bend the rules, expect trouble. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

How were you planning on continuing next semester if you hadn't won this tournament? Doesn't sound like you can afford it.

As you have been gambling with money you can't afford to lose, you deserve to lose it. But I am 100% sure you will get your money from Party; I have had difficulties during my five online years, but all have went finally fine. Not that that's necessarily true about all sites, but it's about this. The attachment stuffs are not necessarily got by sites; try also a picture perhaps, taken with a scanner perhaps. Then there's the possibility to fax papers, or possibly even use normal mail.

Aha. You had been opening accounts in your mother's name. It's fascinating, when those "this site is stealing my money"-storis appear, you know there is always some fact that the poster "accidentally" left out.

The firepay and Empire account he opened up for "his mother" was a scam to do the Empire500 multiple times?

A couple of years back I opened a Party account, and my email address was shut down because I switched ISPs. So I couldn't retreive my lost login, pw.

I opened another one one up using the same personal info, new email address. All I had to do was verify it was me by sending them a copy of my driver's license. They froze the first account up (it had no money anyways), and I am now playing on my new Party account. Heck I even got a new player bonus sign up.

I also have accounts under Party skins using the same info and email address and do not have a problem provided I can prove who I am.

Now Dan, for a guy like you who is trying to sham these sites and bonus whore like there is no tommorow you really should be smarter. <sarcasm intended.>

I mean, setting up a different firepay account with different personal info, then linking a neteller account with yet even more different personal info will only flag their security and lock up the accounts. You screwed this one yourself bro. If you are gonna be whoring this bad and be this greedy, think it through better next time.

Dan, this is a problem with most players at Party. The fact is with any online site, whether a sports book or poker site, never keep more money in the account than you are willing to walk away from. I know in this case you won the majority of it in a tournament. But for anyone else reading this, keep that in mind. I laugh when I see guys come to a 3/6 table with $2K...what are they trying to prove??? Then they are the ones that cry the loudest when something goes wrong and they lose the money with the site. As for your problem, Party has always had a bad reputation of terrible customer service...seems like the bigger they are the harder it is to deal with them..you may have to spend the money and fed ex this info to them and get the name of the person that signed for it...

I agree. Never keep more than 25 BB in your bankroll. Let this be a lesson to you 500BB people out there!

It is possible the large/unusual dollar activity in the account tripped some kind of internal fraud control mechanism at Party. These kinds of flags are very common in the banking and financial systems.

I hope you get you money, but it does prove if you play with fire you'll probably get burned.

Good luck,

Fitz
