Hi everyone,

I was playing in a tournament the other day, with a field of 185 players i had made it to the final table with about 16000. Anyway here are the chip counts at the final table with 4 players remaining.

1) 70000

2) 60000

3) 57000

Me 16000

Blinds are 8000 - 16000 with 3000 ante

Here is the play, i have a tight aggressive image, and everyone gives me respect when i make a raise. Usually there is a raise preflop before it gets to me so i dont have the chance to steal the blinds. This time everyone folds to me in the SB holding 62 suited, and i moved in. The BB thought about it for a while then called with

10 9 offsuit. No one improved and i was knocked out. My question should i have waited two or three more hands or was this the right play?

Thankyou in advance

If your numbers are all correct, then you didn't have enough chips to raise, but just called. Where is the discrepancy?

Wow. Someone should have slowed down the limits on this tournament. The chip leader only has two big blinds before he is blind and ante'ed out.

Something just has to be wrong there. For a start you can't even completely call the big blins, you are short the ante. So of course he won't fold, check your numbers.
