Pacific 3/6 Loose and Passive.

Hero BB with K/images/graemlins/heart.gif J/images/graemlins/heart.gif

6 limpers, Hero checks (worth a raise??).

Flop: T85r

Checked To Button, who bets. Hero and 4 others call.

Turn: K/images/graemlins/club.gif

I bet this, and then wondered if a c/r would have been superior. On the one hand, a c/r gets more money into a pot you probably have good equity in. On the other hand, with so many players, you are vulnerable to an A falling, a pocket KQ, or a 2-pair.

What else should I be considering here?

thanks,
gm

easy pre flop raise

On the flop, I either fold to the buttons bet, or raise it.

Just lead the turn, You cant be sure someone is going to bet.

raise preflop. its not really close either.

raise the flop. gutshot, two overcards, and a backdoor flush(or not?) and the chance to force the field to call two.

No Gutshot - but that semantics.

As far as the turn - I like leading out here better than A CR. If he gets checked back to the button, and he bets, and you CR - may just find yourself HU with the button, instead of having those limpers just call your lead out turn bet.

Think of it as going for overcalls, prior to the bet? Friggin Mondays...I need more coffee.

Yep. Definitly worth a raise. You gain every time more bets go into the pot.

If you're going to do anything here, raise to thin the field. Not sure what calling accomplishes here.

This is why I raise on the flop is imperitive, it makes these situations easier to play. I check, hope it gets checked to the button again, if it does, then raise. If it gets back to you with multiple callers, I also call.
