Pocket aces 3 times in a row on full tilt freeroll when we were down to two tables, i lost on em the first time, made a 3k raise then called him down he hit 2p and i lost. 2nd time 3 all ins and i won 16k back. 3rd hand (this is all back to back) all in preflop vs kk and hits a k.

WUT IS THAT? Is it like meant to be or is that [censored] setup? How could i not think it is?

You won 1 out of 3, stop complaining. The last 2 days I lost with AA six times in a row heads up. I finally broke the streak by doing the following. No, I didn't fold em as a poster here a while back did to break a similar hex. It was first level of a sng and 4 limped in front of me for $20. I then raised all-in, about 1500 and they all folded and I won with those damn aces.

Pretty stupid huh?

It's not as bad as some would make it out to be.

If it's any consilation, I was in a tourney on Pokerstars with starting chips of 1500. Blinds were at 15/30, still early in the game.

I'm one of the last to act and find A/A in tha' hole baby! Everyone and their brother is calling the 30 bet and Doofus #1 behind me raises it up to 270 (he held Q/J of hearts)

I push all-in and get FIVE callers (don't remember all the hands, but was up against 5/5, J/J, Q/J suited, etc.)

Flop gave the guy with 5's trips, and the last friggin Jack in the deck came on the river to give the guy with Jacks trips and he snagged 10K in chips. I was a pretty strong favorite against those hands, but that's poker man, unfortunately.

Better luck to ya. Gotta take the bad beats I suppose. If it's any help, I find that I make a hell of a lot more money in ring games than tournament events.

I think I was the guy with Jacks.

That's not surprising even though it sucks. You're the hand with the best chance to win, but you're still a dog to the field.

I'll still take 3 pocket AA's in a row any day...

I was the guy with the picture of an Asian guy from the show "Banzai!" who had the Aces cracked. Just finished 4th twice in sit n' gos on Stars too (pays 3 places) *sigh* Ah well, such is life.

I think, statistically, rockets win about 30-33% of the time. You just proved it. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Considering the odds on that are about 1/10,000,000 I bet you would. I thought I was lucky the other day in a SNG when I caught two in a row. I quadrupled up on one and just about instantly made the money. ;-)

Just the other day I was running some stats in Poker Tracker and came across the following (as if anyone really gives a rip):

Hands: 16,537
Times dealt AA: 94 (0.568%, a bit higher than the expected 0.455% which would be 75 times)
Win %: 91.49 (86/94)

lost to Q9 HU (river trips)
lost to AQs (trip queens on turn)
lost to 77 (flopped set)
lost to J9o (flopped set)
lost to TT (river set)
lost to 77 (river set)
lost to 98o (flopped two pair)
lost to Q9s (running straight)

I'm curious what other peoples numbers are. Anyone want to share?

yea usually when u get aces u think about making huge amounts of chips.

The hands that cracked my aces were KK hit a set on flop, and J9 floped a pair, hit a 2nd one on river.

you're just horrible at this game, that's all. What kind of player can't win with aces? A pretty bad one.

Its not my fault you can't win with aces, the best starting hand. Obviously you suck if you can't win with them sorry that's the truth.

You don't get it, do you? Nobody cares about you losing with aces. Don't post about it, it happens to everybody. You are criticizing me for making a post that doesn't contribute to your knowledge, yet I can't recall reading anything worthwhile in your post. This forum doesn't need any more bad beat posts than it all ready has.
