Depends on the 2p2'er.

Most, no. Some very much so.

I have a tendency to believe that people are making plays at me. Sometimes, playing against a 2+2er heightens this feeling. That costs me money making dumb calldowns, counterbluffs.

Course, most of the time, I don't care.

No, of course not.

I just think that every time I do something stupid I cringe a little bit knowing that a 2+2er just looked up the hand history and is quietly snickering because I should have done something different.

This phenomenon is especially true on Party because the hand history is immediately available.

No.

No, man.

I just raise every hand regardless of context or merit and they fold.

I play a lot of live poker with other 2+2ers and also quite a bit online. At first it made me nervous, it doesn't anymore. Also, we play a lot of games besides hold'em that we are usually equally bad at.

On a side note, I think playing live poker with other 2+2ers has been great for my development as a player. Playing at a table with sthief09, sfer, johnny boom boom and bdk3clash really forces you to think about the game in new ways.

Not in the least, but it's also not very lucrative. I find it simple to play against good players, you can usually put them on a range of hands and play accordingly. I play very straight up against other 2+2'ers, and usally findd they play the same.

I get a little nervous if a friend is sweating me during a live hand because I'm afraid I'll misplay it. Like when I was on the cutoff at the Borgata 6-12 and I had 96s and I mucked after two limpers, Gonoroes almost slapped me.

With the rake and toke in live games, you should muck.

I assume 2+2 players have read SSH and are using its tactics, e.g., rarely calling when bet into on the flop. To compensate, I rarely check-raise and I lower my 3-betting standards a lot against known 2+2 players. So far, it has worked well.

2+2ers need to do more calling when they are bet into on the flop.

Doesn't bother me, tends to be easier to put them on hands than other players. Plus I can respect myself more in the morning if a 2+2er takes my money.

i don't get nervous, but i tend to lose a lot of money by doing really stupid things, i.e. raising 34 consecutive hands. usually the more 2+2ers on the table, the stupider i play.

I'd be afraid they'd call me "weak tight" or some other degrading designation. And I'd be like "No way, I'm totally tight aggressive dude, you just don't have a large enough sample size, man" Then they all laugh and call me "math boy" and then they'd give me swirlies in the girl's room so that Bunny Macpherson would see me covered in toilet water and never want to go to prom with me. I would be very nervous, it would be like high school all over again.

are you afraid that if you try to play well, they might see that you don't play as well as you think?

im not saying this to be a prick, im actually curious, cuz sometimes i feel this way...im not sure why this would matter though, i don't know any of you...weird...

I only get nervous now when I have to play hands against NateTheGreat or Peter_Rus.

Both of those guys have my number so far.

I hate when I'm playing with 2+2 er's in the B&M rooms and I go to cash out my chips and they knock my rack out of my hands and my chippies go flying all over and under the tables with Bunny Macpherson getting drunk at the bar and watching and laughing at me. I hate you Bison. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Given the number of loose or even poor players, I would much rather know who the good players are on my table. If they are marked, then you are halfway to avoiding a second best hand problem.

Interesting question.

If it's 1 or 2 that i know are real good. Im not too worried as there are 6+ more players to worry about.

If it's the case like when GoT, Dude, slavic and me played, i figured i'd be in for a workout. Which i'm not used to playing in that type of game so i think the nervousness i had was in the challenge for myself knowing the quality of play i was going to face. Being the 4th in that line, my position sucked. I was suprised i saw as many hands as i did. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Even with us 4, I thought the game was fantastic. I was almost the maniacs vs. the thinkers.

I think confidence in ones game might also be a factor. As one responder said, the feeling of being scrutinized by the player can have it's effects. However, if one has confidence in their game, this effect is minimized to some degree.

I was nervous in AC w/ sfer, gonores, james282, and bunky all on my left, but once I got up 2 racks of white in 30 mins, I calmed right down. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Not nervous- at all.

But I do hate it when one is sitting one or 2 seats after me. Either half way across the table, or acting right before me.
