View Full Version : The ignorant end

Mitch has been playing very aggressively when this hand comes up. I get a free ride in the big blind. Can someone critique my play on this? Am I stupid for betting out and then calling the raise on the turn and then check calling on the river?

Since I have posted a number of messages here which have gotten no response, can someone give me some advice as to what I am doing wrong? Do I need to spice up the posts somehow? Or am I asking questions that are so basic and obvious to others that they don't deserve a response? Or what?

Thanks

I personally would rather not have a full hand history and just a brief discription of the hand. I can't specifically say why I didn't post a response. I tend to respond to most of the NL hands and only some of the limit hands.

I am not sure if I lead out on the flop with bottom pair and a gutshot. It probably is correct against 1 limper. When he calls he could have any pair or a King or a 9 for an open-ender. Would he raise with a Jack or Queen?

On the turn once you bet and you are raised you are in a tough spot. If the guy is aggressive then you may be tied so a fold is not necessarily correct. You know if you plan to call the raise you are going to call the river bet as well.

As soon as I start to see the cut-and-paste of the hand history, I hit the "back" button on my browser. Maybe if you edited out all of the extraneous information, it would be more user-friendly.
