prescott is a fine bridge player but he plays crappy poker - i tell him and my mate dave tells him - but he doesnt listen - i usually take my opportunities to humiliate prescott so be nasty if neccesary

20,246 hands of 5/10 6 max

VP$IP 25.22
Fold Small Blind 85.92
Fold Big Blind 38.23
Attempt Steal Blinds 11.12
Won $ When See Flop 32.08
Went To Showdown 30.65
Won $ At Showdown 55.62
Pre Flop Raise 6.65

preflop aggro - .31
flop - .95
turn - 1.36
river - 1.47

guessing his win/loss rate might be fun - prescott reckons this bunch of hands was a bad stretch

I have a few players like this in my datamining from 5/10 I would presume them to be a winners overall, ~1BB/100 sounds right. Hey maybe they're doing something right, insert whinge about having 16k hands at 5/10 and being down.

I would guess -2BB/100. Stats can be miss leading though.
I have a feeling VPIP is to high for 5/10(about right for 1/2 six max). His aggro is to low, and the too tight from the blinds.

VP$IP 25.22
Ok, a bit high but that's ok when you play aggressive.

Fold Small Blind 85.92
A little too tight.

Fold Big Blind 38.23
Way too loose, should be at around 60%

Attempt Steal Blinds 11.12
Way too tight, should be at least 20%, I prefer around 30%

Won $ When See Flop 32.08
Mine is around 39%

Went To Showdown 30.65
A little too tight

Won $ At Showdown 55.62
Probably a little too high

Pre Flop Raise 6.65
Should be at least double

preflop aggro - .31 passive, mine +/- 1.8
flop - .95 passive, mine +/- 4.25
turn - 1.36 passive, mine +/- 3.75
river - 1.47 passive, mine +/- 2.45

My notes on him would probably something like passive fish, ace chaser, flusher. He plays way too passive. At least he doesn't play way too many hands but he shouldn't only raise the nuts. This isn't a bad thing but he will be at best a 1BB/100 hands winner IMO.

Strips kick some aggression in this guy /images/graemlins/tongue.gif.

Good luck,

Guido

I hope you don't mean the big blind.

Preflop aggro .33 is fantastic. He really want those guys to call with worse hands and blinds coming in for free and then if he hits flop he is going to kill them. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

straight guess: Negative .64 BB's per hundred. would not be surprised if true answer was +-2BB per hundred. I would be surprised if it fell outside that range.

VP$IP 25.22 - This is workable, but if he's having trouble with his game he should tighten up a notch or two, then add back in when he's comfortable.

Fold Big Blind 38.23 - Way to loose.

Attempt Steal Blinds 11.12 - Ridiculously low. Get that to 25% at minimum.

Won $ When See Flop 32.08 - Low: it will go up if he ramps up aggression

Pre Flop Raise 6.65 - Way too low. Get it up to 10 at least.

preflop aggro - .31 LOL - calling station.

flop - .95 - more of the same.

guessing his win/loss rate might be fun - He plays tight enough that he might win a little, but probably not much better than roughly breakeven

Ask him to stand in front of the mirror. When he realizes he is wearing a polka-dotted miniskirt, then maybe he can start playing poker, unlike the girly game (no offense, ladies) he has shown in the past.

Seriously though, he's probably winning .02BB/100.

PS Are most of your friends pansies?

-.98 BB/100 would be my guess, but I wouldnt be stunned if I wasnt at all close.

Yea they are right the big blind number isnt to tight, but the small blind one is way to tight.

"Fold Small Blind 85.92
A little too tight."

Hey Guido,

Would you mind posting your general requirements for 3-betting/Calling (if ever) a Button or CO raise from the SB at 5/10? I think I'm too tight as well.

Guido

I'm not very good in the blinds, a little better than 6 weeks ago and a lot better than 5 months ago when I played full ring but I'm not the right person to ask I think. Mine is around 85% which could be a little lower. My 3-betting requirements are depending a lot on the button or CO. The lowest is about A7o, KTo, QJo I think.

So can you reveal this player's BB/100 now? I'm curious.

Sorry Nate, but I dont think $1 is a very strategic bid considering some people have already guessed some negative numbers /images/graemlins/wink.gif

i was hoping for some savaging but i guess prescotts stats arent all that bad - i reckon he needs more aggro although perhaps in the 5/10 game he can get away with being a bit of a nancy

his win rate for this bunch of hands is +.14BB/100 - i think nate wins
