10/20 hand from Local B&M

Dealt QQ in late position. 1 limper I raise it guy to my left (pretty tight, hardly limps, rarely raises) calls 2 cold, limper calls. 3 to the flop.

Flop is Ad Ah 7h.
Limper checks I check Tighty bets. Limper folds I call.

Turn was an 8h. I lead out into Tighty. He shakes his head in disgust and calls.

River was a Jc. I check he bets I muck.

I'm calling. When he didn't raise the turn, I'd expect that I might be ahead. I realize he doesn't raise much, but even tight players will raise trip aces on the turn. Call the river and expect to win a fair amount of the time.

you have to bet this hand down, you cant just check call... and folding to a bet on the river is terribly weak here.

Here's what I would have done in a situation like this.

1. Fold the flop if he bets.

or

2. Bet all the way if he never raises once.

Check calling is really bad here.

Thanks for the responses guys... I'm a new poster here but have been reading a lot your posts for months. I do realize I still have some weak tendencies sometimes but I just couldn't see my hand being good there.

I've really given it a lot of thought on how I could of played it better, perhaps a turn checkraise and leading the river.
