How do I post a screen shot on here??
Or if I just have a .gif on my comp can I post it on here, or does it need to be something that I have URL for?

I am pretty sure you need a URL considering the image link ask for one. Plus the server here would have to keep all the pics even those archived for anyone to see them otherwise.

click on 'my home', and past the URL in the field where it says 'my avatar'

has to be smaller than 80x80 pixels, cut and paste the URL from your address bar, in my computer, or my pictures, and paste into the field for your avatar, and voila! .gif will be fine
