View Full Version : Reuben's PL & NL books - good for NL tourney?

I'm ordering Reuben and Caffione's "Pot-Limit & No-Limit Poker", and also considering picking up Reuben's "How Good Is Your Pot-Limit Hold`Em" too. Two questions:

1. How applicable are these books to NL tourney play?

2. Since the 2nd book is PL-specific, how applicable is it to NL?

Of course, I'm anxiously looking forward to Harrington's books and others coming soon, but want something to tide me over in the meantime.

Thanks,
Pasta

look back a page or so, i asked the same question - "need some advice by 430 or so" is the post

um, thanks, but I don't really see either of questions really discussed in that thread, not to mention of ""How Good Is Your Pot-Limit Hold`Em".

Anybody else?

Haven't read the 'How good is your pot limit book', but the other one will help your NL tourney play. If you want another Ciaffone book that will also help, try 'improve your poker' as well.

Most of it should apply.
