Just a quick note on Poker Million,which is scheduled to make a come back in Match 2002. Buy-in will be 10,000 $ with a first prize of 1 million pounds. Number of players is restricted to 300. All this according to Ladbrokes web-page www.pokermillion.com (http://www.pokermillion.com).
Regarding venue, there has been talk for some time of The Hilton Metropole hotel (close to the Vic), but this is not confirmed.
Hopefully, Ladbrokes will not repeat their mistake from the debut, when they waited until two hours before tournament guaranteeing additonal prizes for the runner-ups. It was far too late for those of us who had decided not to go because of the risk tournament would be a winner-takes-all event. Again, with first prize fixed at 1 mill pounds, this issue needs to be adressed, although I am pretty sure the attendance will be better this time.
