I am playing in the FIHUPT2 at Greg Raymer's Casino in Conneticut next thursday. I need help. I need a good basic strategy for heads up play. I Challenge David Sklansky to provide that srtrategy to me right here on the 2 + 2 Tournament Forum. Then I will take that strategy and go kick Fossilman's butt.

1. Bring lots of money.

2. Always remain cheerful.

3. Don't let bad results get you down.

4. Don't quit loser.

5. Check and call a lot.

6. Save some for us in Las Vegas.

7. Wear your hat with the letters "V" "I" "N" "C" "E" on it.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Mason

first you need to eat well.

i like chicken little for breakfast(great food) in mystic.

or the two italian spots in town i dont remember the names. stay away from the mystic pizza of the movie fame.

then play well and try to get a piece of the fossil.

Vince,

I think it's time that you pay for your lessons from Sklansky if you want any chance to beat Fossilman. Don't fall for any deals he suggests.

Good Luck

Mark

P.S. Feed Fossilman a cheeseburger and fries with lots of grease. This should make him tired because his body has to work hard to digest it, then maybe if you're lucky he will make mistakes.

That's Kitchen Little, and it is very good (especially the omelettes).

Two? There must be a couple dozen. Every other place in town is an Itialian restaurant.

I recommend the Thai restaurant in downtown New London a half hour away. Or, the Korean restaurant in Providence an hour away. Eating out is not a great thing here, no ethnic food to speak of (except all those italian places, and they aren't even considered ethnic food here).

First advice, if you show up next week, you'll be disappointed since it's actually in 2 weeks. :-)

Second, never raise me if we end up against eachother, I'm a calling-station and I will not fold, :-).

Third, I'll send you a list of fossil names and characteristics I learned in College (I did study in Geological Engineering), maybe your new knowledge will charm Greg should you have to play against him. Maybe he'll be unstable and you can take advantage if this. Or maybe you'll spot a new tell.

Fourth, and most importantly, cross your fingers you don't end up against Fossilman and myself for the first round. :-0

Good luck!

I remebr when Ray, Dan Harrington, and myself "ate" at a Mexican Restaurant in Southern California. The only person who could speak English (besides us) was an 11 year old girld who was sent to wait on us. After listening to Ray go on and on for about 20 minutes, this young girl looked at Ray and asked "Are you English." Ray answered, "No, I'm Italian."

I fell out of my seat laughing and I think Dan also fell out of his.
