low turnout for tournament

just returned from 9 days at 4Queens event. several events had less than 100 players. some folks there said competing tournament at Commerce Club was responsible for low participation.


bottom line, for me, was it was not worth the time and expense of the trip. future plans will include a study of possible conflicts like this...suggest you consider also.


makes me wonder about January???


P.S. no complaints about how they handled anything, just the low turnout.

I personally know people who were going out for that tournament but couldn't fly due to the events of last week. It seems entirely possible to me that a lot of people might have given it a miss for related reasons.


I have to wonder about January too, it seems crazy to me to have two major tournaments running simultaneously, I would have considered coming to Reno but in fact will save my money and holiday time for a better situation.
