Hold em excellence, small stakes hold em and fit or fold

I was in the basement yesterday and I started looking through my poker book collection. I opened up Hold Em Excellence by Lou Krieger. His advice is to fit or fold on the flop. He writes, "Fit or fold. That's the concept. . .When the flop doesn't fit your hand--and that's going to happen about two-thirds of the time--you must release it UNLESS THE ODDS OFFERED BY THE POT EXCEED THE ODDS AGAINST MAKING YOUR HAND . . ." PAGE 54. So, actually Krieger's advice is not that much different from small stakes hold em. He says to continue on if the pot is big also!
