Since there are so many good songs, I'll let you choose 3

Remeber there are 2 kinds of people in this world, those who like journey, and those who lie.

That's a great quote.

Don't forget they have one of the best all-time videos too, for Separate Ways.

Someday love will find you
Break those chains that bind you
One night will remind you
How we touched
And went our separate ways

Off the top of my head, I can only remember two of these songs, and they suckass.

I know none of their songs by name, so if I heard them, I would be able to vote, but I am guessing they are some sort of progressive-rock suck-ass-piss group, right?

My favorite was Stone in love.

Just try to remember all the songs you've ever heard in stupid car dealer ads on TV.

Example: "aaaanyway you want it, that's the way you neeeeed it..." RIGHT NOW AT JOE BLOW FORD IN GARY INDIANA, GET $2000 CASH BACK ON A BRAND NEW FORD FOCUS! CHECK OUT THE GREAT OPTIONS LIKE AM/FM RADIO OR EVEN AIR CONDITIONING! "...aaaanyway you want it, that's the way you neeeeeed it."

This was an easy poll.

And I'm SHOCKED there are now only 2 votes for Wheel in the Sky. You guys are out of your mind.

I think I voted for that. Classic lyrics.

Winter is here again oh lord,
Haven’t been home in a year or more
I hope she holds on a little longer

Sent a letter on a long summer day
Made of silver, not of clay
I’ve been runnin’ down this dusty road

Wheel in the sky keeps on turnin’
I don’t know where I’ll be tomorrow
Wheel in the sky keeps on turnin’

I’ve been trying to make it home
Got to make it before too long
I can’t take this very much longer
I’m stranded in the sleet and rain
Don’t think I’m ever gonna make it home again
The mornin’ sun is risin’
It’s kissing the day

(chorus)

Wheel in the sky keeps on turnin’
I don’t know where I’ll be tomorrow
Wheel in the sky keeps on turnin’

Well, I looked up and cut and pasted the lyrics.

My posts are slightly tongue-in-cheek, but I do have a CD in my car with some classic 80s rock that I burned, with Foreigner, Journey, Styx, etc. Good times, good times.

Oh, REO Speedwagon too.

Totally agreed.

I was at the '85 concert at the Continental Arena (known back then as the Byrne Arena) when Neil Schon was hit in the head by a bottle. Steve Perry went on Mega Tilt and totally chewed out the audience.

Ahhh the 80s driving down the GSP going to the shore with Journey blasting. So good to be a teenager back then.

Tx!

I remember in '81, tearassing up the GSP, the stereo loud, drinking, drugs, friends, that youthful excitement that, in retrospect, seems sort of silly...

The only difference is that I was going to see Public Image Limited at the Roxy in Manhattan.

The only thing I can think of that would have made it better would have been if, on the way, we found a time machine, zoomed ahead to '85, shot over to the Brendan Byrne Arena, and firebombed the entire place, thusly saving ourselves the suffering of Journey and their fans.

So, I guess I am b.) "a liar."

That's OK. PIL was great.

Yeah, but the lead singer is really hot.

I'd like to see her in a 3-way lesbian scenario with that chick from Styx and that other one from Cheap Trick.

Also, for those who don't remember, Seperate Ways is the song that defeated "Photograph" by Def Leppard after 15 consecutive wins on Friday Night Video Fights on MTV in the early 80's.

Great song, weak ass video though.

The Hysteria concert, "in the round," was one of the greatest concerts I've ever been to. And I've seen tons of great bands in small clubs, etc. Leppard rules.

That Ladies and Gentlemen, is the trifecta of the early to mid 80's.

My very first concert was Journey, with Brian Adams as the opening act. It was when "Cuts Like a Knife" first came out, young women were throwing panties on the stage, going crazy, what a wonderful time to be a boy of 15.
