I've been clearing a few poker bonuses lately and had a spare $300 lying around so I decided to go for a BJ/casino bonus at starlucks. Used to be a black jack junkie, I started playing basic strategy and dropped $200 leaving $100 in my account. Losing all taste for online blackjack (reminds me why I switched to poker in the first place) I just want to cash out my question is: I deposited $200, got my $100 bonus credited to my account straight away, even though I knew I wouldn't be able to take it out before I cleared the 1600 PT (making $300) and now I'm down to $100 total in my account. Will they allow me to cash out, or do I still have to clear the $1600 PT before I can get at this last $100?

God I hate blackjack.

Check the T&C, but most likely you will have to wager the full amount. If you don't, you just played with house money. You also deposited more than was needed to get the full bonus which generally isn't the way to do it otherwise you get into situations like these. If you had just done the $100 and got $100, you would be bust by now, but you wouldn't be out that other $100.

i asked a similar question being new to the casino thing....... and got the reply "you think casinos are gonna let you play their bonus, lose it and cash out your original money"

so yeah you gotta finish up that playthrough, i know it sucks.. i went back to finish my playthrough once I lost the bonus money, and I was playing with my money.. and luckily I actually made back the bonus $$$ and some profit, so anythings possible. be careful.. don't bet more than $5
post how you do /images/graemlins/spade.gif

I belive the starluck bonus is 8x the deposit + bonus. So if you put in $200 + 100 bonus instead of $100 +100 your WR is $2400 istead of only $1600.

Well finally cleared it went down to $50 managed to scrape back up to $80 after my PT$1600. So net loss of $120. Bloody horrible I tell you I think i'll stick to poker thanks. I'm amazed at the majority of people who post the success stories from BJ, I have better luck at the casino.

sorry to hear your bad news, but i had a totally different experience over the weekend, despite the enormous 35x playthroughs

after making $229 at reef, thanks to Homer, i tried captain cooks and made £138 ($255) friday overnight on autoplay (deposited £100 for £209 bonus)

then i tried casino kingdom and made £69 ($127) saturday overnight on autoplay (deposited £60 for £129 bonus)

finally, for the icing on the cake, reef had given me an extra unsolicited bonus of $10 and i made it up to $21 in 50 manually played hands (i couldn't understand why they gave this bonus - do they expect people to go to their site, play the $10, lose it, and say to themselves, "yippee! that was good fun losing that free $10 - now i think i'll deposit some of my own money and lose that as well"?)

does anyone know of any other bj autoplay sites, please?

by the way, the poker sites could do well to look at the quality of support given by cc and ck - they answered a number of my questions within minutes, and their answers were always very polite, friendly and accurate

Forgive me ignorance but what's autoplay? Is that just a particular type of software?

PS> thanks for making me feel better too :P

cc and ck have an autoplay function where you set the strategy you would play if you were playing manually, and away you go, automatically - i think a few of the other sites have it as well

you can set stop-losses and stop-wins, too

as i was playing poker while the autoplay played bj i checked how i was doing every now and then - i was so far up at one point that i decided to press my winnings by increasing my bet, with a stop-loss at a level that i would still be pleased to win in case i had a bad run, and a stop-win so i could press again if i wanted to

(of course, it turned out that i had the bad run, so i had to reduce my bet-size)

Any of the Belle Rock ones. Lucky Nugget, River Belle, Gaming Club, Aces High. I'm pretty sure they all have autoplay since they use the same software. Not sure if they're all good deals to do anymore, but it is easy to just let the autoplay go /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I see the Belle Rock ones aren't listed at BW anymore. Anybody know why? Don't they offer affiliate deals anymore or something?

They aren't listed at BW anymore because their bonuses became unprofitable. They are now $250 for $250 (slots and video slots only) whereas they used to be $50 for $250 (autoplay blackjack allowed).

BW doesn't remove casinos that don't pull in money. In fact, the Belle Rock casinos never made BW a dime.

You should have deposited only $100 to get the $100 bonus, because the play-through is 8x your deposit AND bonus, so $1600. For your $400 total, it is $3200 I believe.

However, you do not have to take the bonus. If you ever want to decline a bonus, you go to cashout and there will be a popup saying you have not reached your play-through. It will have a gray button under bonus that says "DROP". You can click this and it will go to the next screen to make sure you want to drop your bonus. If you answer yes here, it will cancel your bonus. You can then cash out whatever is left in your account.

I had great success this past weekend with Starluck et.al and you might still consider trying to clear.

I just did Planetluck, more like star UNluck. deposited $100 and in $2 wagers I went into ruin before I even hit $1300 wagered. I missed all but very few doubles and splits and had the worst luck ever.

Should have learned from starluck, where I ended up a whole $3. I follow perfect strategy before you ask, btw /images/graemlins/smile.gif
Hate this, I should be up $97, not down $100.
