View Full Version : High commission for 1 on 1 play?

My adrenaline flows when I play 1 on 1. Over the last year I've put in many hours (and losses)playing 1 on 1 on Paradise Poker. I might have made money if you didn't consider the rake.

Over the last few days I played in a few heads up tournaments at Dynamite Poker. I am 3 for 6. The commission is 50 cents for the $5 tournament and 75 cents for the $10. Is this a high commission for playing in these tournaments? Anyone know of another place I can play? (Think weak competition).

Sorry, I forgot to mention that tournaments last about 30 minutes on average.

They are doing the same thing on ACR right now with no entry fee but there are only a few a day. I don't really like their software but it is worth a look.

Thanks. ACR looks a bit confusing. They seem to have only single table tournaments for 10 players.

But I'll keep checking their site.

They seem to create the tourney tables individually, and it doesn't look like they put up any 1-1 tourneys today. I played in one yesterday though, and a few days ago I played in a heads-up sportsbet freeroll, which was a good deal. They may have stopped due to lack of interest since there seems to be about 5 players who will play 1-1 there. They have a good heads up rake of 10/hr I believe instead of raking it by hand. If only they had players...
