hand 1 is fine. I'd probably lead the river in hand 2 because i'm always afraid it'll get checked through, but if you're confident he'll bet I like it.

Hand 1: I play it like you did. I wouldn't bet the turn, because I figure I'm not going to get all three opponents to fold, and I probably need to make a flush to win (I think it's unlikely that SB would bet into six opponents on a flop that contains an ace with less than top pair, unless he also has a flush draw).

Hand 2: Again, I would not bet the turn. I'm thinking I'm probably behind UTG+1, who has shown a lot of strength. I want to see the river as cheaply as possible and play for my flush (if I make two pair or even trips on the river, I'm not going to be at all surprised if I lose).

The river check-raise is nice, since it worked.

I think you played both hands well.
