View Full Version : To: SWIFTY...R U up for a Challenge?...LONG

Oh Mighty SWIFT ONE,

This is my response to your addressing me on the thread below titled "wow! Check out this call..."

THE ALMIGHTY SWIFT ONE: "next time you respond to a question involving 2040 make sure you say that you are a 1/2 grinder/stud 3bb an hour winner!!!"

Swifty, You have no idea who I am or what limits I play.

Not that I owe you anything, but for what it's worth (which is probably not much, considering what I've read of your posts, you seem to be a very close minded individual, who just has the need to be critical of others); I will say I normally play live medium stakes HE, up to $30-60 or 5-10 blinds P/L HE. I also have earned a living at cards at 3 different intervals of my life. I prefer a more structured lifestyle. I am also formally a poker and all other casino games shift supervisor.

I am not a stud player (currently just HE)...(or maybe you were just calling me a stud...are you gay SWIFTY?...I have nothing against gays but I'm not.)

I'm not the best and I don't claim to be. But I have made far fewer mistakes than the majority of my opponents during my poker career, thus resulting with a plus in the win column for the long haul.

I don't play online 20/40 because I was one of the unfortunate ones taken for several $K by a now defunct site and choose not to tie up a sufficient bankroll online to support that limit. If MS Sunshine reads this, they can vouch for me.

I now play online low limits and am doing quite well. I also just started to dabble in P/L and N/L at UB (not under KC50 though).

THE ALMIGHTY SWIFT ONE: "By the way, the play with the K7 is quality 2040 short play".

I made no mention of what my opinion was of K7 in SH play. Just that I was not as impressed with Curious's opponent's play as much as he/she was. And again that was just my perception.

Isn't that what this forum is here for? My participation here at Two Plus Two is 2-folded. One is to learn more about the game that I have such a passion for...and 2..to maybe, just maybe help someone along the way as help throughout my life has been freely given to me.

BTW, where do you play? I do some traveling and would love sit across the felt from you, then maybe we could talk real poker (instead of people bashing) over dinner.

SO CONSIDER THIS A CHALLENGE TO YOU SWIFTY! ;>)

And if the gegraphics are not possible, I challenge you to be a little more open minded...

Who knows, maybe you could teach me a thing or two about the game.

And also BTW...I'm sorry to say...that up until now...IMHO...the only thing I've learned from you is "how not to be"! (but thanks for that...)

Kind Regards,

:>)

damn KC, you made me feel like total crap, and FYI, IMHO i am very gay. Also, my post was intended for anyone who grinds the 1/2 who gives terrible advice, you on the other hand usually give sound advice other than that post which i still contend was utter doo. I usually don't play live although i am known to venture out to the taj mahal in ac on occasion. Also, I am so good at poker, it is maddening. I would venture to say that I am one of the best who post on this forum, behind only the top tier ones like angelina, etc. etc. My posts are so indicitive of my poker knowledge that if one would only disregard the insults and look at my response you would see the light.

Didn't mean to make you feel like total crap, Swifty...just partial crap ;>)...didn't mean anything too serious bout the gay thing either, glad you took it in stride.

Swifty says: "My posts are so indicitive of my poker knowledge that if one would only disregard the insults and look at my response you would see the light".

I'll meet you halfway and try.

KC50 was IMHO within the top three players at PokerSpot. He was smarter than me by stopping playing there, even though he was winning, earlier than me seeing that it was a scam, with no chance of us getting paid.

He is one of the few players whose poker thoughts I trust. The times we have traded e-mails about each other's play, although it pains me to no end for anyone to point out errors in my play, his observations of my play have turned out to be correct and in changing, I have made more money.

He used to post in the internet poker forum till the net kooks drove him away because there was less and less of real value there to read.

He's the real deal as far as internet poker goes. We played hundreds of hours of short-handed $20-40 Hold'em. I would listen to his thoughts on poker and not dismiss him out of hand.

I will have to say that I have learned far more from you 2 than you from me.

I remember changing one thing you pointed out to me over a year ago that has put ammo back in my pistol instead of shooting blanks....it was such a glaring leak in my game to everyone but myself.

Like you said...I used to post here (under another handle)...and left for the reasons you listed.

I'm back becuase there's too much to lose by staying away.

Two Plus Two is kind of like a free insurance policy that you can cash in anytime and the funds never run out...all you have to have is an open mind.

If I was #3 at PS...it was a distant 3rd behind you two...

Thanks for the kind words...

Ya bums....

ski bums that is :>)

crAAked,

If you saw the movie "Rounders", remember what Mike Mc D said to Johnny Chan when JC asked him if he "had it"?

"I'm sorry John, I can't remember"!

The leak is patched up, good and tight now.

Sorry crAAked...

telling people what your cards were was your big leak? /images/smile.gif

Nope, good guess though. I just used that scenario because I wasn't going to disclose what the leak was. You'll just have to play with me and try to uncover another one.
