opponent seemed like a TAG after about a half hour of play.

party 5/10

utg calls, utg+1 raises, i 3bet on the button with JcJh, utg folds, utg+1 caps, i call. blinds are gone, by the way.

flop me 7h 9c 6d

utg+1 bets, i raise, he calls.

turn 4s

he checkraises and i fold?

what do you think? my read wasn't so solid that this was an easy fold but against someone who has not gotten out of line in ~40 hands i thought it was ok.

ps - why doesn't party email HHs anymore

Are you still on the 10/20 short bus? You're too good to be posting something this obvious.

i dont think its that obvious. Are you saying its an obvious fold, or an obviously bad fold (referring to the title)?

Obviously good. The key factor in my opinion is the fact that joker hasn't seen the villain get out of line at all. That makes a bluff unlikely, and I don't see a TAG taking this line for value with any hand that the hero beats.

he 'could' have TT. But QQ KK AA are much more likely. Probably a good fold, but the pot is large...

Yes, the pot is large, but it's still the turn. Hero is only get 5-1 to call down. Since the villain hasn't gotten out of line yet, I don't see him bluffing here at least one in six times.

I don't think its quite so clear cut. He capped and called your flop raise. I'm willing to give a free card to AK here because I'm probably behind anyway and then I don't have to deal with this checkraise play when I'm not.

As my location indicates, I've moved back down to 5/10. I had a terrible run at 10/20 and I want to get my bankroll back to 600BB. I still play one table of 10/20 though, and two of 5/10, so they haven't completely busted me yet.

yeah, there was some good discussion there. Some crucial differences in my hand is that your hand was played at 10/20, which would have been a call down for me, and second that my opponent capped preflop.

They stopped doing that because they are stored locally on your comp now. Check out your party folder and there should be a new folder called Hand Historys and in there should be your hands.

Yeah that's true. I forgot that that dude didn't cap on my hand. I mostly just felt cool for remembering that my hand looked almost exactly like yours and also I thought Scotch's comment was a bit out line.

one other thing i forgot: the turn in your hand put a flush draw on the board, which is huge.
