Party 2/4 game -- 10 handed.

You have 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif on the button.

3 bonafide fish (loose and passive) limp, you raise, decent BB comes along.

Flop: 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 4 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
Checked to you and you bet. BB folds. All 3 fish call.

Just before the turn is dealt, the poker genie appears, and grants you a wish. He says "You may have any remaining card appear on the turn that you wish, but you can't have an 8".

What card do you pick and why?

Jon

Black 9. This is the biggest blank while it allows you to lose the least amount of money. If one of the passive fish lights up and raises you it is an easy fold and if you are ahead this promises you will still be ahead. It also gives the fish hope that their second pair is more than likely to be good.

What about the 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif//images/graemlins/spade.gif? I think it would be more likely that there's one of them on a nime than one of them being on 56.

I'm a doofus:

Oh wait I see. They won't raise the turn if they're on 9x and you're beat. Good point. /images/graemlins/wink.gif
