View Full Version : "holdem vs stud" or Flip-flop (a newish game)

Here's a game which is uniquely assymetrical and quite playable head to head with PL betting, for a while anyway. I don't know if it could be played seriously with more than two players with any betting form, but perhaps it might.

Flip-flop: Players ante, then the dealer receives two closed cards as in holdem, the other player is dealt two cards down, one up as in 7cs. If the upcard is a jack or better then the stud player must bet or fold, if it is lower then the "holdem" player speaks first. The holdem hand is then dealt three upcards and the stud hand is dealt two upcards (called a "flip") taking both players to fifth street. Sixth and seventh street are dealt face up.

Are 6th and 7th community cards or personal?

Sincerely, Andreas
